J Mason is a Rap Artist/Songwriter/Entrepreneur. Born in Knoxville, TN then raised in a small town called Tazewell, TN by his grandmother. Although she's more like a mother to him. She was the first to believe in him and tell him to chase his dream. Still to this day she's his biggest fan. By the age of 8 he was writing songs of his own and performing other artist's songs he looked up to such as Lil Wayne, Eminem, Soulja Boy, etc. at home after school in his bedroom. Practicing his craft and working on his stage presence. Around 13 he made a trip to ATL to record a 9-song demo with Haywood Tucker. After being welcomed into Mr. Tucker's home he was invited to perform at an outdoor Easter event in front of a hundred people or more. 

Fast forward a couple of years he then connected with a local radio personality/engineer by the name of Jeremy Laws. They began recording every weekend and consistently did so throughout his high school years. In 2015, right after graduating J Mason did his first major show in Massachusetts where he opened up for "Waka Flocka Flame". 10/6/2016 J Mason released his first official project "Humble & Hungry" which featured his most popular song at the time "By Any Means Necessary". The recording sessions for the project took place in Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA, and finished in Knoxville, TN. That's where he met Miah of "The Sound Lair'. 

The duo of J Mason and Miah (The Sound Lair) have gone on to record three full length projects since crossing paths. Including "Artistically Inclined" (10-28-18), "The Lit Misfit" (12-25-19), and "Matter of Timing" (08-24-22). As well as a multitude of singles in between time. J Mason has now toured in over 10 states and 20 cities. He began doing open mics and artist showcases winning cash prizes, radio spins/interviews, and other opportunities that would further his career.  He then started opening up for and sharing stages with major acts such as "Snow Tha Product", Montana of 300", "Ace Hood", "Skooly", "OMB Peezy", "Young Dro", "DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia", "Caskey", "Bezz Believe", "Rittz", "Rehab", "Polo G', "Devin The Dude", and many more.
